An Engineers Choice

What is an Engineer to do? Playing Separation of Church and State, a delightful script by Aero, with 10 players the choice to me was obvious. While Legion is always an interesting choice, I decided that minion manipulation was the way to go, and with 2 minions in play I had options. Unfortunately, I was on the same wavelength as the Story Teller so my choice was meaningless.

First choice was easy for me, a Godfather. With base 0 outsiders, and no other outsider addition on the script, if it wasn’t a starting Godfather then the Godfather will have nothing to do. No outsiders, no extra kills. A minion effectively powerless. That was the easy one, the next choice was trickier.

Widow – Will send a public ping out, make people mistrust their information and also make it harder, should the demon be a Lleech, to track down if it is widow or host poison. Not a good option.

Assassin – This can bring a game to a quicker or even sudden end if they stay alive, or are Vigormortis killed. Also not a good option.

Scarlet Woman – Town has to find the demon, kill them, then do it all over again? Add Lleech as the potential demon and this can cause all sort of chaos, especially in final 5 where killing the Lleech with a Scarlet Woman is a win for Evil.

Harpy – The final minion on this script and the one I chose. It is easy enough to play around the madness, especially as the days go on and knowing a Harpy is in play. Or, with evil mistakes, maybe the Lleech host is a harpy target and it puts the Story Teller in a tough position. That would never happen, right?

What about you? What choices on this script would you make as an Engineer?
